Make Your Flowers Last Longer
Fresh flowers always put a smile on our faces and whether you’re gifted a bouquet or are treating yourself we wanted to give you some tips to make those blooms last longer and get your value for money.

Check out our top tips to get the most out of your flowers:

Tip 1 – Don’t leave leaves below the water line
We know our beloved roses and favourite flowers come with foliage so make sure that you snip those pesky leaves off before placing the flowers in water to avoid bacteria entering your fresh water.

Tip 2 – Cut your stems at an angle
Avoid any damage to the bottom of the stems which might limit the life span of your flower and cut them sharply at an angle – this avoids needless damage.

Tip 3 – Placement is everything
Don’t place your display near fruit. Something magically scientific takes place and will encourage them to decay so whilst that bowl of fruit may look appetising, it’s bad for your flowers.

Tip 4 – Feed them well
When you fill your vase with room temperature water add the plant food. Flowers love them and will thrive. You can prolong their life by changing the water regularly and can also make your own flower food with some sugar dissolved in the water.

Tip 5 – No direct heat or draughts
Make sure your flowers aren’t near a heat source because they will wilt. They also don’t do well in draughty places so keep them out of any direct cold air sources.

All of our flowers are the freshest possible so make sure you take care when displaying them and use our tips above and they’ll last for as long as possible.
